Ah, there is the crux. Good-tasting food is not always good for you.  So my mission is now to find “good” food.  Good for me and tasting good.

Officially in One-derland!

I generally only count weigh ins on Tuesdays and Fridays.  I weigh in at WW on Tuesday nights and then Friday mornings, I was weighing in for a weight loss competition.  Last Tuesday I was 201.00 at WW.  That is were I was 2 weeks ago before the birthday hullabaloo.  By Friday, I was weighing 198.8.  So I am officially out of the 200s and that feels good.  Right now, I am wearing a size 14 pair of Levis and while they are slightly tight, I was able to zip them up comfortably.  180s here I come!

I feel like I am the only one who omits soda.

I hate soda. Always have.

I have cut it out since January.

i think this is really important, especially in light of what has happened to Charlotte and a few other fitblrs in recent days :(X

I’ve sent anon love though ;)

Honestly, if you can’t say it as you then you shouldn’t say it at all.

Weight Loss Survey

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE surveys!

Weightloss Challenge as a survey

1. Your stats.

  • Start:218.6
  • Now: 201.8
  • Goal: somewhere in the 160s

2. How tall are you? Do you like your height?

  • I am 5’8 1/2” and I very happy with it.  I used to want to be 6’2” like my mom but that ship has sailed.

3. your thinspiration. What features do you like about this person?

  • I honestly don’t know.  I guess the image of me in my head like the last time I was at my goal weight but toned up.

4. Your greatest fears about weight loss.

  • getting there and then gaining it back.

5. Why do you really want to lose this weight? Are you doing it for you?

  • To improve my health, strength, and endurance so that I can be around as long as possible.  I don’t want to limited by my weight ever.

6. Do you binge? If so, explain why you think you do.

  • No I do not binge.  I may overeat, but never binge.

7. Do your parents know you’re trying to lose weight? Do they care?

  • Yes, but that doesn’t matter, I’m 31, married, and a mother, it is not any of their business.

8. Your workout routine.

  • I focus on either abs, legs or arms for strength and then work cardio around it.  I will also walk around the neighborhood when it is not too too windy.  I am not a member of a gym.

9. Did people ever make comments about your weight in a negative way?

  • Yes, way back when, not so much now.

10. What was the hardest thing you gave up during this “weight loss.”

  • chips.  I love the salt.

11. Your favorite thinspo blog and why!

  • All of them!  Everyone has their own story and contributes to my motivation!

12. What do you normally eat?

  • breakfast:  either some toast with LC cheese and green tea or an egg sandwich on the weekends with some fruit.
  • lunch:  anything from a burrito, a sandwich, a wrap, or leftovers.
  • dinner:  lean protein with veggies and maybe some couscous or pasta.
  • snacks:  reduced fat cheese, greek yogurt, almonds, fruit, veggies with hummus.

13. Are you losing weight in a healthy or unhealthy way?

  • Healthy.

14. What’s your ugw? When you expect to reach it?

  • I would love to be in the mid to low 160s but I will stop when it is comfortable.  I hope to get there by January 2013 but I am putting no timeframe on this.

15.- Are you vegan or vegetarian? If so, has this helped you lose weight? If not, would you ever consider turning vegan or vegetarian?

  • No I am not.  But I do limit my red meat intake.  I would consider it but DH would kill me, he is a meat eater for sure.

16. When did you first decide to lose weight?

  • I have tried for the past 3 years but got serious on January 2012.
17. Do you have an eating disorder?
  • Nope, never had.

18. What food is your weakness?

  • pasta and salt.

19.When is the last time you ate fast food?

  • Does Subway count?  If not, then probably sometime in December.

20. Favorite diet?

  • I have been successful on WW on more than one occasion and I’m currently doing their program.

21. What are your clothing sizes?

  • shirts:  XL to L, dress pants: 14, jeans and dresses: 16

22. What was your lowest weight? how and why did you gain?

  • My lowest since reaching the age of majority (18) was 155 in law school.  I gained weight because of two pregnancies and one layoff.  Bad habits led me to here.

23. Did the media play a role in your wanting to lose weight?

  • Nope, I’m doing this for me.

24. How do you feel about the terms pro-ana/pro-mia.

  • I think that ED are serious and to encourage such destructive behavior could be considered criminal.  Making light of it is just wrong.

25. Have you ever purged? If you have describe your first experience.

  • No.

26. What excites you most about reaching your ugw?

  • Being the best version of me.

27. How do you deal with being around food?

  • Willpower and the thought of a better me.

28. Do you want that “gap” between your legs? Why?

  • I would rather be strong and if that means no gap, then I am cool with that.

29. Your definition of beauty.

  • Being you regardless on comments, societal standards.  Not conforming to one set image but rather celebrate the you that inside and letting that shine.

30. Current Stats

JustKeep-Running: I ran my first 5k race!→

justkeep-running:

Woohoo! I ran the whole time :) I didn’t walk at all! I’m not sure what my time was but I think it was about 35 minutes. It was about 25 degrees when the race began and it took me about a mile to get my whole body warmed up. I tried to sprint (more like a fast jog lol) the last quarter mile of the…

That is awesome!  Congratulations!

It took me months to figure out that my crappy weekends were blowing all the hard work I put in during the week. So not worth it.

Oh my gosh yes

I have the opposite problem.  Weekends give me time to prepare good food and workout, the weekdays are the hardest, too busy!
